Performance Shipping hit with Nasdaq warning as shares languish below $1

Performance Shipping has been put on notice by Nasdaq over its share price.

The Athens aframax specialist disclosed on Monday that it had been told by the exchange that it has run afoul of the exchange’s minimum closing bid price rule, with its shares closing below $1 for 30 consecutive days starting on 27 May.

It has until 9 January 2023 to get the price above $1.

“The company intends to cure the deficiency within the prescribed grace period,” Performance Shipping said in a statement.
