Hammer-Wielding Protestors Force Evacuation of Scottish Factory

Pro-Palestinian protestors armed with hammers forced the evacuation of a Thales factory in Govan, Scotland.

Thales is a multinational manufacturing company that produces devices and equipment for aerospace, transportation and defense.

Palestinian Action Scotland zeroed in on Thales for its involvement in Israel’s Watchkeeper drone program.

According to The National, protestors made it to the roof of the facility and were causing damage to the building.

The same protest group targeted the same facility with a similar demonstration last month.

A spokesperson for Thales confirmed the latest protest and said it was working with authorities to resolve the incident.

“The UK defense and security industry works within robust ethical standards that are among the highest found anywhere in the world,” the company said.
