Koo owner Tiger Brands decided exit fruit canning in 2020.

Tiger Brands will continue operations at its Langeberg & Ashton Foods (L&AF) canned fruit plant for one more season following an agreement with workers and farmers.

Last month, South Africa’s biggest food manufacturer announced plans to close the 70-year-old plant in Ashton, near Swellendam in the Western Cape.
