USPS increases shipping costs, raising price of stamps to 60 cents

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It will now cost you more to mail a letter with the United State Postal Service.

The announcement of the change came back in April, with the increase going into effect on Sunday.

New prices include a two-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp from 58 cents to 60 cents.

The higher prices raise First-Class Mail cost by approximately 6.5 percent.
