Sri Lanka has received 3,700 metric tonnes of LP gas; distribution to begin immediately

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has received 3,700 metric tonnes of LP gas, the first consignment out of the 33,000 metric tonnes of LP gas ordered for the month of July, a President’s media division statement said and distribution to immediately begin.

The Chairman of Litro Gas Company Muditha Peiris has said the gas distribution will be regular and systematic from July 12 and the problem regarding domestic LP gas demand will be completely evaded by the end of this month.

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has instructed the officers to carry out the unloading and distribution of as the first ship arrives at Kerawalapitiya today (10) at 1500hours.

A second ship carrying 3,740 metric tonnes of gas is due on July 11 and a third carrying 3,200 metric tonnes of gas will arrive on July 15.
