Global Procurement Group energised by national awards win

An energy procurement consultancy has secured a top industry award for a second time.

Global Procurement Group – which trades as Northern Gas and Power – was named energy consultancy of the year at London’s Energy Awards 2022.

The Gateshead-based firm – which previously picked up the accolade in 2019 – was praised by judges for its support of organisations’ net-zero ambitions, which it delivers through the carbon reporting ClearVUE platform.

Bren Garvey, chief people officer, said: “What makes this award so special is the judges’ feedback, which clearly recognises the focus of the company’s future trajectory – to enable businesses to become net-zero.

“They also commented that we are ‘nurturing the next generation to take a lead’.

“We want to inspire the next generation of leaders in this sector, who we will need to continue the impetus towards a low-carbon future.”

Th award follows a period of significant growth for the business, which manages assets for more than 25,000 clients and employs in excess of 850 people worldwide.

Bosses say it is on track to exceed 1000 employees by the end of 2022.
