Scan Global Logistics goes old school with AN12 shipment

No room? No problem. Scan Global Logistics took a vintage approach to shipping vehicles to Africa, looking Audi the box and Mercedes bending the rules.

The freight forwarder used an AN12 to fly an Audi A8 security car and Mercedes G500 from Germany to Rwanda. Due to capacity issues and a tight timeline, Scan Global Logistics’ automotive special logistics teams utilized the 51-year-old aircraft to transport the 6,249 kilograms of cargo.

The vehicles arrived in fewer than two days from Frankfurt to Greece, then Egypt and finally to their destination in Rwanda.
