The Oregon Department of Revenue announced they will begin sending the $600 one-time assistance payments to more than 230,000 Oregon households later this week.
As per House Bill 4157, the Oregon Department of Revenue will begin sending out one-time assistance payments to Oregon households beginning the week of June 20-24.
According to a media release by the ODR, qualifying households must have received the earned-income tax credit from their 2020 filing and must have lived in the state for the past six months.
When possible, payments will be deposited directly into Oregonian’s bank accounts, however the department expects to send nearly 100,000 paper checks, as well. Households receiving the payment through direct deposit will also be notified via mail when it posts.
A total of $1.41 million is expected to be distributed to 236,000 Oregon households.

Celts light it up at Beacon Awards
McNary came home with three athlete of the year awards at the Beacon Awards on Saturday. Tyler Copeland was named Football Athlete of the Year, Lacey Vasas Softball Player of the Year and Colby Sullivan Male Golf Athlete of the Year. Vic Backlund was also honored at the event with the Beacon Award for McNary High School.
Bunny and Vincent set for world premiere at Keizer Homegrown this weekend
The 45th Parallel Playwrights (45PP) will host the world premiere of Jenifer Kay Hood’s play, Bunny and Vincent, opening Friday, June 24, at 7 p.m., at Keizer Homegrown Theatre at the Keizer Cultural Center. The story follows the lifetime of poet Edna St.Vincent Millay and the tragic ending that is often unheard of. Performances continue on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26.

Celtics baseball struggled in close games during the 2022 season, losing six one-run games and 12 by three or fewer runs. The Celtics were 5-12 in games decided by three or fewer runs.
