Summer House star Kyle Cooke shares a very generous donation he raised for Uvalde victims with his Loverboy team. Fans applaud him for his generosity.
Kyle Cooke, star of Summer House, recently shared that he and his Loverboy team raised $22,000 for victims of the Uvalde, Texas, tragedy. Kyle has starred in Summer House since season 1 and he was known for his partying ways for years. Amanda Batula, who started out as Kyle’s casual summer fling but is not his wife, often had to reign him in. As an entrepreneur working long hours in New York City during the week, Kyle’s weekends were all about letting loose. Amanda was often annoyed at his over-the-top partying and he had to remind her that “Summer should be fun!”
In 2018, Kyle decided to turn his love of partying into a business and founded the sparkling hard tea line, Loverboy. After drinking and promoting other hard tea brands on Summer House, Kyle decided to create his own line of alcoholic drinks with a healthier twist, which he found the other brands lacked. Kyle convinced Amanda to leave her job as a graphic designer and work for Loverboy as the creative designer. To round out their team, Kyle hired fellow Summer House star Carl Radke to handle marketing and sales.
Kyle recently shared a heartwarming video on his Instagram with the caption, “TX recap: we raised $22k for victims of the #uvalde tragedy. Thanks to our amazing fans, retailers, and wholesalers for your generous support as we did some good while launching @drinkloverboy statewide. Next stop: nationwide!” Last month, Uvalde residents experienced a horrific elementary school shooting. People nationwide banded together to lend their support to the victims’ families, and fans are applauding Kyle for using his platform to help those in need.
Summer House fans praised Kyle and his team for his work and responded, “You guys are amazing!” A Texas resident wrote, “Thank you for doing this!! Us Texans love your generosity!! Strong work!!” After facing some financial setbacks, Kyle is working hard to get his Loverboy brand back on track. In Summer House season 6, his castmates’ jaws dropped when he revealed that he was $4 million in debt. Kyle also dealt with a lawsuit in 2020 from the owner of a bar in New York City called Loverboy Bar. The case was settled out of court and dropped shortly after.
Kyle’s generous donation proves that he’s not just all about partying. However, he shows that he can mix business with fun while promoting his drink brand. With Loverboy on the rise, fans are asking when the brand is coming to their area. According to their website, Loverboy is sold in nineteen states and has expanded to selling cocktails as well as their hard teas. Summer House fans are impressed with Kyle’s work ethic and along with “entrepreneur” and “television star,” he can now add “philanthropist” to his list of credentials.
