Went to my friendly local paint store for some plain old white touch-up paint. Upon arrival I noticed I was the only customer and that the shelves were almost empty. At the counter I was told that what I was looking for was not in stock. I was then lectured by the clerk for being unaware that there is a supply shortage.
I apologized for bothering him and, as I was departing empty-handed, thought: “Why don’t you just lock the door and put up a closed sign.” It was then that I realized that this just might be an omen of what the immediate future holds in store for us all … paint today, groceries tomorrow!
