S. Korea’s foreign ministry launches economic security center to tackle global supply chain issuesNews

Seoul’s foreign ministry launched its own economic security center.
The Center for Economic Security and Foreign Affairs will house a team of sixteen experts in various fields including security, digital technology and law.
They’ll be tasked with monitoring global supply chains and evolving technology trends, as well as semiconductor technologies.
During its opening ceremony on Monday, the nation’s foreign minister pledged to pursue “proactive diplomacy” to enhance Korea’s “economic security” amid strategic competition around the world.
