Podcast | Companies Are on a Shopping Spree for Supply Chain Software | 2022-05-11

The wallets are open: Companies are investing heavily in software for optimizing the supply chain. But will the trend continue?

In a time of severe congestion plaguing the supply chain (caused in part by a literal plague), companies are desperate to speed up and streamline the movement of goods to market as much as possible. So it’s no surprise that they should be making big purchases of software for that purpose. That’s the finding of the 2022 Technology Predictions Report from GP Bullhound, a technology and investment firm. On this episode, we’re joined by partner and supply chain head Jonathan Cantwell, who delves into the results of the report. We’ll learn just where the money is going, and whether the spending trend can continue in light of unsettling economic trends such as higher inflation and interest rates, and the looming possibility of recession. Can technology solve the supply chain crisis? Hosted by Bob Bowman, Editor-in-Chief of SupplyChainBrain.
