An alarmingly large proportion of Australian companies are unaware of human slavery risks in supply chains – particularly suppliers in South Asian countries, according to a report.
Even though around 90% of Australian businesses recognised potential modern slavery risks in their supply chains, 66% were unable to provide information beyond tier one suppliers, said International Justice Mission (IJM) Australia.
