Sleepy Eye Public Works Director Mike Hardin stands under a First Avenue North Street light pole without a computer chip needed for an LED light bulb. The street lights are part of a big street and utility project mostly completed last fall. Delayed by computer chip shortages and shipping issues, the chips and light power regulators ordered last fall are set to ship to Sleepy Eye from Ohio May 6. Acorn light covers will be added to the street light poles.
