Puma Energy, a Swiss multinational mid- and downstream oil firm, has gone live with GEP Smart procurement software across its global footprint.
The Singapore-headquartered energy company selected and implemented GEP software to help optimize its operational efficiency and business performance. The successful go-live of GEP Smart sourcing software will help the company identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers, achieve best-value agreements, and manage a resilient supply chain.
Puma has operations in 40 countries across six continents, including 1,998 retail sites, facilities in 107 airports, and a network of storage terminals. The company’s business encompasses the supply, storage, refining, distribution, and retail of petroleum products.
GEP was recently named a leader in in Forrester’s Q1 2022 analysis of supplier value management (SVM) platforms. Forrester praised the firm’s “very configurable” SVM suite for its strengths in category management, specialist sourcing, spend optimization, and digitalization of supplier collaboration. The GEP Smart product also boasts specialist sourcing functionality for key categories in target industries such as oilfield services and auto parts.
GEP is based in Clark, NJ and provides procurement and supply chain software, consulting, and managed services. The firm has 5,000 people globally and works with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprises.
GEP recently acquired market intelligence firms Costdrivers and Datamark.
