Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry plans distribution events

The Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry is planning a series of mobile pantries this spring.

The nonprofit organization will distribute groceries, diapers, formula, baby food and feminine hygiene products, among other items, during a drive-through event from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 8, at Naperville’s Calvary Church, 9S200 Route 59.

Identification and registration are not required.

Another mobile pantry will open from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 7, at Restoration Church, 1460 W. Indian Trail Road, Aurora.

Pop-up pantries serving women, and usually held indoors, are set for the following dates: 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at the Aurora Public Library Eola branch; and 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at Vineyard Aurora Church, 505 E. Galena Blvd.

Interfaith launched the women’s-only pantries last year with a grant from Aurora Women’s Empowerment Foundation.
