State institutions started to publish procurement plans

Finance Ministry has begun publishing the procurement plans of state institutions for the first time.

Procurement plans of councils, ministries and other state institutions are now published on finance ministry’s website. The ministry said the change was made to ensure the procurement work of state institutions is as public as possible.

According to the information published, the work of obtaining equipment for the institutions has been dismissed. These announcements were previously published on the government gazette.

The ministry said that leads to not many people seeing the announcements, leading to few applications.

However, the ministry said once the procurement plans of the institutions are made public, applicants will be given the opportunity to prepare for the projects.

The government’s procurement expenses are expected to be significantly reduced once the plans are made public.
