Punit Oza to helm Wiz’s new digital dry bulk platform

The newly established Wiz Bulk will be based in Singapore to cater to dry bulk shipping. It will be helmed by Punit Oza who will take up the role of CEO of Wiz Bulk on 11 April.

Oza was most recently held the post of Executive Director of Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA) and has a long career in dry bulk shipping, including digital transformation for Klaveness Dry Bulk in Singapore.

“We are extremely excited to announce Wiz Bulk, a new business entity of Wiz which will cater to the dry bulk cargo market and we will utilise our tech expertise to improve the customer experience for this market,” said Ramkumar Govindarajan, CEO, Wiz. “It was immediately clear that Punit was the right choice to lead Wiz Bulk.

Oza said, “I am extremely excited to join the Wiz family and look forward to building a sustainable and customer-centric bulk shipping solution to provide greater transparency and value, leveraging technology to the maximum possible extent.

“I am extremely impressed with what Wiz has achieved in the container freight solution space and I hope that we can bring the same success in the bulk freight solution space as well.”

Chennai-headquartered Wiz was founded in 2020 and has offices in over 15 countries.
