Police raid large cannabis factory spanning four rooms of house

Police have seized 170 cannabis plants after raiding a house.

Officers from Staffordshire Police went to a property in Leek New Road in Milton on Friday morning (March 4).

They found a large cannabis growing operation had been set up, spanning four rooms of the house.

The electricity supply had also been bypassed, meaning engineers from Western Power Distribution had to be called out to the scene.

The force is now appealing for anyone with information about the cannabis factory to contact them.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “Officers are appealing for information after approximately 170 cannabis plants were seized from a large grow in Stoke-on-Trent.

“Police attended a residential address on Leek New Road at 10.05am on March 4 and discovered an active grow – spanning four rooms.

“Western Power were contacted due to an electricity bypass at the site. Officers commenced a seach and have seized the plants.”
