At Party Time, they have everything you need for the Mardi Gras season. However, because of shipping delays, some things may be here a little later than expected.
Owner of Party Time Donna Travis said, “Believe it or not, we were still receiving some Mardi Gras last week two weeks before Mardi Gras. We plan about fourteen months in advance right now with supply chain issues because what used to take 6-8 months is now taking a year to get in.”
Last year they did sell a great amount of Mardi Gras supplies. Even though there weren’t parades, they still wanted it to feel like Mardi Gras.
Travis had workers decorate Mardi Gras trees, king cakes and sold a lot of supplies. They didn’t sell as many beads, but they did sell a lot of decorations.
Getting customers to come in the store isn’t the problem. They need extra hands.
“As you see, our store is full of merchandise so we’ve been working really hard to get merchandise in the store,” Travis said. “We’re just like everyone else; we need employees.”
Travis says the store usually never has boxes in the isles, but right now they don’t have enough people to put the merchandise on the shelves. However, supply chain issues won’t prevent customers from finding what they need.
“ This is my go-to spot,” a frequent customer said. “I can come and get everything I need for Mardi Gras. I mean from throwing to decorations to costumes.”
Shipping delays are a continuing issue but Travis says party time will help you look your best so you can enjoy the parades.
Party time still has a great selection. Those going to the Spanish Town Parade can grab pink beads, tutus and more.
