Connector maker Foxlink has rented a 168,897-square meter plant in the US state of Arizona, where the Taiwan-based company plans to produce green-energy products such as charging stations, batteries, and energy storage devices, according to an announcement by the company.
The site will be operated by Foxlink’s wholly-owned subsidiary Foxlink Arizona and will be the maker’s first production site in the US.
Foxlink has R&D and marketing offices in the cities of Los Angeles, San Jose and Seattle, and is now planning to expand its green-energy business to the US.
Foxlink Arizona will also start making products for school electric buses and consumer electric vehicles (EV) in California and will partner with local energy storage equipment solution makers to demonstrate their co-developed charging solution.
The solution consists of a charging station that supports 180kWh DC fast charging capability and a 500kWh energy storage facility. The storage system will store energy during slow hours to help operators save costs
The company is also developing charging solutions to meet school electric buses’ specific needs to help lower local power company’s costs.
