Several models are included in the recall amid concerns the vehicles would fail to stop at stop signs
Tesla is recalling 53,822 vehicles equipped with self-driving features the company says may cause a crash by not stopping at stop signs.
The recall impacts Tesla’s rolling stop functionally that’s part of its Full Self-Driving beta software. The rolling stop feature allows the vehicle to travel through an intersection without stopping, potentially putting the passengers at risk.
Several models are included in the recall including certain 2016-2022 Model S, 2016-2022 Model X, 2017-2022 Model 3 and 2020-2022 Model Y vehicles.
Tesla says it will disable the rolling stop functionality with an over-the-air software update.
