The Supply Chain Manager reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Procurement and Supply Chain Management including:
- Forecast demand for all raw materials and packaging materials
- Own the purchasing of all raw materials and packaging materials
- Manage all material contracts and manage supplier bid
- Analyzing target inventory levels and reorder points for all materials
- Managing on-site and supplier inventory stock to the targeted inventory levels
- Maintaining accurate raw material inventory levels within inventory management software (EKOS) including inventory receipts and on-hand, physical inventory process
- Manage all packaging projects and packaging changes
- Spearhead all material sourcing for R&D and Innovation Projects
- Enforce The Sustainable Purchasing Policy and work with suppliers to meet established standards
- Maintain supply chain viability to ensure production is not interrupted
- Work with Director of Operations and VP of Finance to improve companywide profitability and gross margins
- Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers, monitoring and accessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices
- Quality Control including:
- Be the JuneShine champion of QUEST (Quality, Uniformity, Efficiency, Sustainability, Transparency)
- Work with the Quality Team to ensure all received materials meet established quality standards
- Routinely audit quality of raw materials and suppliers’ quality
- Work with Compliance Analysts to ensure products meet and maintain compliance certifications
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, related field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in purchasing, warehouse management, manufacturing
- Strong analytical abilities
- Knowledge of demand/forecasting tools and supply chain management
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, G-suite and EKOS inventory management software
- Strong interpersonal skill and ability to work with all levels of an organization
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company
