Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday said the government will extend the time for paddy procurement if the process is not completed on time.
Interacting with the media before leaving for New Delhi, he said that farmers will not be allowed to suffer any loss.
If the procurement of paddy is not completed on time after allocation of the token, the date of procurement of paddy will also be extended if required, he said.
The Food and Civil Supplies Minister and district Collectors are keeping tabs on it by regular reviewing the situation, Baghel said.
He said there has been extensive damage to the Rabi crop due to the rains. An assessment was being done.
On Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister said there was a storm within the BJP and that is why an exodus had begun. “People are fast losing faith in the BJP.”
On arrested IPS officer G.P. Singh allegations, Baghel said even the Supreme Court had rejected his bail application. Singh said on Friday that he was being framed by the present government for not toeing its line.
