Senior Blue House official praises S. Korea’s speedy procurement of oral treatmentsNews

A senior Blue House secretary for public communications has praised South Korea’s speedy procurement of oral COVID-19 treatments.
On social media, he stressed that the country was able to become one of the first nations in the world to administer the pills, despite its history of rolling out vaccines relatively slower than others.
The official also expressed optimism over the country’s advanced system that provides real-time information on whether a patient can receive the medication.
This statement comes after South Korea began to roll out Pfizer’s pills for the first time on Friday, with nine people given prescriptions on the first day.
Meanwhile, the country on Saturday reported 4-thousand 4-hundred 23 new COVID-19 cases.
The number of critically ill patients is below 7-hundred for the second straight day, at 6-hundred 26.
