China’s strict COVID-19 lockdowns could create supply chain chaos

 

Growing number of COVID-19 cases in China and the country’s zero-tolerance lockdowns to curb the spread could once lead to massive global supply chain upheaval, Fortune reported. Frederic Neumann, co-head of Asian economics research at HSBC, said that fast-spreading coronavirus cases could result in the world facing the “mother of all supply-chain stumbles” this year.
