Utility contractor Feeney Brothers moving into former Troy Industries gun parts factory in West Springfield

WEST SPRINGFIELD — Feeney Brothers, a utility service contractor and excavation company based in the Dorchester section of Boston, is establishing its Springfield-area headquarters at the former Troy Industries property at 151 Capital Drive.

Feeney Brothers has about 50 employees in the Springfield area now, having worked for local utilities for about a year, said Mike Sheehan, the company’s director of real estate. He said employment will grow. Feeney Brothers has already started work on the building.
