Cart.com Buys Dallas-based FB Flurry, Tripling Fulfillment Footprint and Enabling Next Day Delivery to Majority of US » Dallas Innovates

Dallas-based tech and DTC (direct to consumer) fulfillment company FB Flurry was acquired by Cart.com, an Austin-based end-to-end e-commerce software and services provider.

“Their customer-focused, tech-forward approach to omnichannel support perfectly complements Cart.com’s powerful suite of end-to-end e-commerce tools and services,” said Omair Tariq, CEO and co-founder of Cart.com, in a statement.

In the deal, Flurry’s more than 400 employee team will join Cart.com and its customers won’t see a break in current support while gaining access to Cart.com’s suite of software and services, the company said.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Dallas serial entrepreneur Jeff Zisk founded FB Flurry in 2018 and sees the match with the fast-growing Texas company as a good one. Cart.com has made national headlines last year for raising more than $140 million in less than 12 months—and taking on Amazon/Shopify in the e-commerce world, a spokesperson told Dallas Innovates.

Integrating and expanding operations

The deal will immediately triple Cart.com’s fulfillment support center footprint to more than 2 million square feet giving it next-day delivery access to most of the US.

FB Flurry also brings advanced tech and data-driven operations support to Cart.com’s e-commerce platform, analytics, and marketing services. Adding FB Flurry meant Cart’s platform processed more than $3 billion in gross merchandise value over the last twelve months, the company said.

FB Flurry launched in 2018 and distributes more than 35 million product units each year from four fulfillment centers located in Texas, Utah, and New Jersey. Flurry’s tech supports top DTC brand customers with more than 50,000 product listings handles shipments valued at over $500 million per year and offers customer care services from a center outfitted with intelligent routing and full-spectrum phone, chat, email, and social media capabilities for brands

FB Flurry named Top 3PL

The company was named a Top 3PL (Top Third-Party Logistics Services) in 2022 by Multichannel Merchant.

“To support today’s top e-commerce brands requires an end-to-end operational support system that encompasses the entire customer journey. FB Flurry understands that, and they’ve built an amazing high-volume support network that spans fulfillment, customer support, strategic planning, and more,” said Cart.com’s Tariq.

Tariq and the leadership team fully share our customer-centric vision, said FB Flurry’s Zisk. “They’re channeling that passion to create a groundbreaking end-to-end solution for today’s online sellers. We’re thrilled to be joining that mission, and to be scaling up FB Flurry to meet the needs of DTC brands nationwide.”
