Could Supply Chain Issues Be Easing?

We’re getting hit hard by the Omicron variant of COVID-19, but companies and schools are working to stay open. This isn’t easy in the face of workers out sick. The CDC is trying to alleviate the impact of out-sick workers by cutting the quarantine time in half. So far, this new wave is not affecting the slow recovery of supply chain obstacles.

A couple of weeks ago, FedEx CEO Fred Smith noted that he sees supply chain issues improving. Optimists argue that omicron will hit hard, but it will ultimately wring the strength out of the disease. They argue that the omicron variant is the dark before the dawn.
