Hioki Opens Factory in the Town of Sakaki to Strengthen Collaboration with Partner Companies (Affiliates)
Hioki is pleased to announce that it has relocated some production operations from its Head Office Factory in the city of Ueda to its newly opened Sakaki Plant in the town of Sakaki (Hanishina-gun, Nagano Prefecture) as part of an effort to realize its long-term management policy, Vision 2030. Production will begin on Wednesday, November 24. The Sakaki Factory, which is located at the site of Nishizawa Electric Meters Manufacturing Co., Ltd., (NEMM), will produce field measuring instruments.
These instruments, which help underpin the infrastructure on which our electric energy-intensive society is built, are used to build, maintain, and manage infrastructure, for example in inspections of electrical and power equipment. In strengthening collaboration with partner companies like NEMM, to which it has outsourced production of field measuring instruments, Hioki is looking to facilitate the continuation and expansion of its field measuring instrument business.
At its Head Office Factory, Hioki will be rebuilding structures so that it can more quickly produce products that contribute to customers’ development capabilities and productivity, for example products for growth markets like batteries and electric vehicles (EVs).
