Two people were hospitalized after a fire erupted Dec. 21 at a Tesla factory in Fremont, California, local media reported.
The fire was reported around 12:41 p.m. and was discovered in an administration building’s third-floor boiler room, Fremont fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles told SFGATE.
The two people who were hospitalized sustained injuries from smoke inhalation, CBS San Francisco reported.
The fire was extinguished by 1:20 p.m. and was attributed to large filters for the HVAC system catching on fire, the department said on Twitter.
The incident occurred a week after a Tesla worker at the same factory fatally shot another worker outside the plant, McClatchy News reported.
The facility, a former General Motors factory, manufactures Tesla vehicles and employs more than 10,000, according to Tesla’s website.
