Inside Stoke-on-Trent’s latest cannabis factory busted by police

Police have seized weed, cash and a mobile phone – after finding 10 cannabis plants at an address.

Officers made the discovery after being called to a Tunstall property yesterday morning.

Police are refusing to reveal the exact location of the address, other than to say it is near Victoria Park Road. One man has been arrested.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Officers discovered a total of 10 cannabis plants along with a quantity of cash and a mobile phone.

“A 35-year-old man, from the Stoke-on-Trent area, was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the production of class B drugs.

“The plants, phone and cash were seized and the property secured.

“The man was later released under investigation while inquiries continue.”

Police are appealing for witnesses following the discovery of the cannabis factory. They should call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
