Spend Matters analyst Bertrand Maltaverne will help kick off Jaggaer‘s ESG webinar series this week.

On Thursday, Jaggaer, a suite provider of sourcing and procurement software, will launch the first of its four-part webinar series that is dedicated to helping procurement and supply chain professionals understand and implement environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices.

Check out Spend Matters’ 5-step “Procurement Technology Buyer’s Guide” to help your  business digitally transform.

“We’ll be having a conversation about what sustainability really means,” Maltaverne said, sharing highlights like “the different aspects of sustainability that will be discussed in the next three webinars (how it affects people, the planet and our profit), who the stakeholders are and, importantly, what procurement can realistically do to help them.”

The whole Jaggaer series, which runs October through December, will be moderated by procurement expert Peter Smith, once MD of Spend Matters Europe, now MD of Procurement Excellence and a business author. Speakers will be experts from within Jaggaer and from its customer base.

They look forward to welcoming you, and your questions, on:

Thursday, Oct. 21, 10am US Eastern time, 3pm BST and 4pm CET for the first of this online webinar series.

Tipalti updates offerings, expands to UK

At Tipalti’s customer event, the AP automation and payment specialist announced that it is using its recent acquisition of Approve to serve procurement needs, that it has added a payment card and that it is expanding into the UK as its first step into serving Europe more.

Tipalti said in a press release that it will create more than 200 UK jobs over the next three years, with more than 40 hires across engineering, sales, customer success, compliance and more. It said it already has over 50 customers in the market.

“There’s a clear need and benefit for Tipalti’s technology in the UK. We know the strong desire for businesses in the market to scale, in fact almost a third (28%) of UK CEOs said international growth is a top priority in 2021 and beyond,” said Rob Israch, General Manager of Europe at Tipalti. “However, time-consuming manual finance processes and piecemeal solutions are holding them back. We want to change this. … Tipalti’s scalable solution is purpose built to help businesses achieve their ambitious growth plans and meet changing needs, whilst also managing the major payables and financial operations challenges brought with this.”
