Kudos to Chuck Byler for coming up with the idea of “Operation Christmas Delivery” or “Saving Christmas” (“Military could play role in saving this Christmas,” Reading Eagle, Nov. 9).
I think it’s a neat idea, and I’m sure the branches of the U.S. military would be glad to divert their heavy trucks to shipping cargo from the docks in California to distribution centers and department stores.
This could save businesses that depend on a good Christmas sales season to survive.
