Frances Ann Guthrie | Pampa News

Frances Ann Guthrie, 72, of Pampa passed away on November 14, 2021 in Amarillo.

Services are pending with Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Frances Ann was born December 2, 1948 in Dalhart to J.R. and Frances Patterson.  She graduated from Dalhart High School and soon after graduation, Frances married Mearl A. Guthrie. They were married in Clayton, New Mexico on June 9, 1967, he passed away on April 11, 2009.  They moved to Pampa in 1978 and she began her career with Coronado Hospital, working in Material Management.  She worked there over 15 years and retired in 1997.  Frances Ann was a long-time member of O.E.S.  She was a strong Christian woman and looked forward to her weekly prayer meetings.  Frances Ann enjoyed traveling, especially visiting Colorado to see her great granddaughter, Cripple Creek, and Black Hawk.  Her hobbies include listening to all types of music and reading mystery novels. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Teresa Guthrie in 1985.

Survivors include her son, James Guthrie and wife Kelli of Fairplay, Colorado; granddaughter, Codi Booth and husband Josh of Hempstead; grandson, Khale Guthrie and wife Jennifer of Pampa; great granddaughter, Adelynn Guthrie of Fairplay, Colorado; and a great grandson to be born on December 25, 2021, Randall Booth.
