World Quality Day was celebrated at Bokaro Steel Plant. On this occasion, in a programme organised at Ispat Bhawan Complex, R Kushwaha, Executive Director-in-charge of BSL, unfurled the Quality Flag and administered the Quality Pledge to the group present. ED (Material Management) VK Pandey, ED (Works) Atanu Bhowmik, ED (Personnel and Administration) Sameer Swarup, CGM IN (Finance and Accounts) Suresh Rangani, CGM IN (Mines) J Dasgupta along with Chief General Managers of various departments, other senior officers and personnel were present.
During the programme, General Manager (BE) Anupama Tiwari welcomed everyone and informed about the background of World Quality Day. The message of Director-in-Charge on Quality Day was read by General Manager (BE) B. Banerji, who apprised all about BSL’s commitment towards proper management of climate change and sustainable development. Apart from this, Executive Director (Works) Atanu Bhowmik administered the oath of quality to the steel workers in the premises of Executive Director building . It is noteworthy that this year the central theme of World Quality Day has been fixed as Sustainability – Improving our products, people and planet.
