Southeast Wisconsin’s first accumulating snow of the season is on its way. As residents prepare for another winter, local hardware store managers are busy trying to stock their shelves with the necessary supplies.”Salt I have so many pallets, I’ve got like 60 pallets outside currently,” said Meinecke ACE Hardware store manager Steven Pratt. “Shovels, we haven’t seen any kind of demand loss on that.”He said some supplies seem readily available for now, but larger items like snow blowers will be hard to come by.”Whatever we have left is all we’re going to get for the rest of the season,” Pratt told 12 News about the snow blowers. “Whenever they’re gone, they’re gone.”Pratt said he could only place one order of 70 snow blowers for four of his stores. Under normal supply chain circumstances, he said he makes multiple orders throughout the season.This year he could only make one.”ACE is currently out of everything, Toro, we can’t get anything from Toro itself,” he explained. “So It’s just a lot of supply chain that we can’t get them.”He said he expects salt, shovels and other items to remain in stock for now.
