An 11-win rampage but still some offensive issues

The Milwaukee Brewers just went on an 11-game winning streak with the offense pounding out 7.6 runs per game. What in the world? Brewers beat reporter Tom Haudricourt joins host JR Radcliffe to discuss what led to the Brewers’ thrilling run and even looks back at Haudricourt’s own memories of Team Streak in 1987 (it was Haudricourt who gave that team the catchy name!). The next two games remind us that the offense still has issues, including Keston Hiura and Christian Yelich. The Brewers have to get a bat at the trade deadline, don’t they? This upcoming seven (!) game run with the Reds on either side of the all-star break is suddenly pretty important. And Milwaukee has three all-star pitchers; could they add a fourth before it’s all said and done?

More: First-round pick Garrett Mitchell continues to travel in fast lane in Brewers’ system, already earning a promotion

More: While the pitching remains tremendous, the Brewers’ offense is now picking up the pace also
