GOVERNOR’S ANNOUNCEMENT. WE’RE STILL FOLLOWING OUR GUIDELINES BECAUSE A LOT OF YOU KNOW HOSPITALITY WORKERS ARE STILL LAST IN LINE TO GET VACCINATIONS. SO MANY NONE OF MY STAFF IS ACTIVATED. I’M NOT VACCINATED AND YOU KNOW, WE STILL DON’T FEEL SAFE. JUST THROWING CAUTION TO THE WIND UNTIL THINGS HAVE GOTTEN A LITTLE BIT MORE PROGRESSED GOVERNOR HUTCHINSON CHANGE THE PUBLIC HEALTH DIRECTIVES INTO PUBLIC HEALTH GUIDELINES FRIDAY, WHICH MEANS BARS AND RESTAURANTS WILL NO LONGER GET FINE FOR THINGS LIKE HAVING TOO MANY PEOPLE IN A DIDN’T BAR THE GOVERNOR SAYS HE BELIEVES ARKANSANS WILL STILL FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES AND THEY WON’T CHANGE THEIR BEHAVIOR, BUT THE OWNER OF PINPOINT SAYS MANY CUSTOMERS THINK BUSINESS CAN GO BACK TO HOW IT WAS PRE-PANDEMIC THE LAST THING THAT ANY BUSINESS OWNER OR EMPLOYEE WANTS TO DO IS FIGHT WITH CUSTOMERS. SO, YOU KNOW, PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL IF THERE ARE SIGNS THAT SAY WAIT HERE WAIT THERE IF THERE ARE SIGNS THAT SAY KEEP YOUR MASK ON KEEP YOUR MASK ON COUNT SAYS BARS AND RESTAURANTS WANT BE OPEN TO 100% CAPACITY MORE THAN ONE, BUT THEY STILL CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS HEALTH AND WOULD RATHER BE SAFE THAN SORRY. YOU’LL STILL SEE A LOT OF BUSINESSES TRYING TO FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES BECAUSE WE DO STILL NEED TO KEEP PEOPLE SAFE. THERE IS STILL A PANDEMIC GOING ON. IT’S JUST A BIT OF A RELIEF THAT BUSINESSES WON’T BE BLAMED AND PUNISHED FOR THE BEHAVIOR OF CUSTOMERS

Who can get the COVID-19 vaccine?

The vaccine is being rolled out across different phases.

NOW: Phase 1-A

Health care workers, long-term care residents and staff, EMS, fire and law enforcement who serve as first responders, and other high priority groups.

NOW: Phase 1-B (part 1)

People age 65 and up, teachers and school staff, daycare employees.

NOT YET: Phase 1-B (part 2)

Food & agricultural workers, firefighters and police not in 1-A, manufacturing workers, grocery store workers, public transit workers, child care workers, U.S. Postal Service workers, essential government workers.

NOT YET: Phase 1-C

People ages 65-69, people ages 16-64 with high-risk medical conditions. Workers in transportation and logistics, water and wastewater, food service, shelter and housing, finance, IT and communications, energy, media, public safety, and public health workers.
