Vaccine distribution dashboard posted

Austin Public Health has released a new COVID-19 vaccine distribution dashboard.

The dashboard includes the total of Austin Public Health-administered doses organized by priority age group, ZIP code, race/ethnicity and the estimated 2019 Travis County population with the percentage of those 65 years of age and older for context. The dashboard will be updated weekly.

Registration open for Startup Chica

Registration is now available for Latinitas Austin’s Startup Chica for girls ages 14-18.

The first virtual Startup Chica conference of the year will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 20. Students will learn business skills, invent a company or product idea, and work with real tech mentors.

Access to a computer and internet will be required. Those without access to a computer or internet may contact for help.

The event is open to all girl-identifying and trans/nonbinary students. Participants will spend the day learning the business skills needed to launch their own startup or product that identifies and solves community issues

Daddy Daughter Dance on Feb. 19

The Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department will host the Daddy Daughter Dance Mask-erade Ball 2021 at 6 p.m. Feb. 19 at Kalahari Resort, 3001 Kalahari Blvd. 

The event will feature music, hors d’oeuvres, professional photography opportunities, dance competition and a parade. Tickets are $15.

JONESTOWN

Movie night moved to Feb. 19

The city of Jonestown has changed “The Princess Bride” date night movie in the park from Friday to Feb. 19 at Jones Brothers Park, at the end of Park Drive.

The movie will start at about 6:30 p.m. Attendees should bring their own snacks and drinks. Couples are asked to stay in their vehicles unless going to the restrooms.

The date change was due to inclement weather.
