Police said a fire on the second floor of the old Duofold building on Spruce Street in Ilion from the evening of Sept. 1 was deemed intentionally set.

Following an investigation, police said they identified three teenagers involved, all of whom were taken into custody this week. Police said two 15-year-old males were charged with one count each of third-degree arson, a class C felony, third-degree burglary, a class D felony, fourth-degree conspiracy, a class E felony, and making a false written statement.

Police said a 15-year-old girl was charged with making a false written statement and third-degree trespass. All three teens were released on appearance tickets to the Herkimer County Probation Department. Their identities were not released due to their young ages.
