Factory output declines anew in Nov – The Manila Times

THE country’s manufacturing output, both in volume and value, continued to decline in November, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported.

Results of the statistics agency’s latest Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (Missi) released on Tuesday showed that the country’s volume of production index (VoPI) declined by 10.8 percent in November last year, faster than the 9.3-percent decrease in October and the 7.6-percent drop year-on-year.

Value of production (VaPi) also contracted by 13.8 percent, worse than the 12.3 percent decrease in October last year and the -7.2 percent in November 2019.
