It has been seven months since 48 Indian sailors on three different ships are waiting to return home from China. Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Union Minister of State for Chemical and Fertilizers, Mansukh Laxmanbhai Mandaviya had assured that the sailors stuck in China will be brought back to India soon, as diplomatic talks are on with the neighboring country. However, China said that the real reason was that the freight forwarder doesn’t want to adjust plans due to commercial interests. The spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in India, Counselor Ji Rong has also said that the Chinese authorities have “never denied any vessel departure”.
