Sunpower’s Supply Chain Digital Transformation

In this video from the 2020 ARC Industry Forum, Mahendra Sundarraj, Enterprise Architect at Sunpower, discusses that company’s manufacturing and supply chain digital transformation.  Sunpower’s overriding objective is to manufacture the highest quality, most efficient solar panels all the time with 100 percent on-time delivery performance.  As Mr. Sundarraj explains, the three goals for the digital transformation were to achieve: 1) end-to-end traceability from raw materials up through the production floor and the customers’ rooftops, 2) connected factories to enable the company to control product quality across its various factories in Asia and across the world, and 3) supply chain agility to further improve on-time delivery performance.  Mr. Sundarraj discusses the company’s design goals for the technology architecture and IT applications landscape and summarized the value achieved to date.
