West Side Rag » How Will Vaccine Distribution Work? NYC Health Chief Will Hold Public Zoom Talk Next Week

NYC Health Commissioner Dr. Dave Chokshi will join a Zoom with Councilmember Mark Levine next week to discuss how a vaccine might be distributed in the city, and how New York is handling the latest wave of Covid-19.

The one-hour Zoom is scheduled for 5 p.m. on December 15 and you can register here.

The first vaccinations in New York are likely to take place as soon as next week, with front-line health care workers and nursing home residents likely to be in the first cohort. Local officials are likely to decide the order after that (local bloggers apparently are not a “priority”). This tool from the Times allowing people to estimate where they’ll be in line is interesting, though inexact.
