Sugar can only be imported with certain amounts after the approval of the ministers of trade and industry and supply and internal trade, Gamea said in a statement on Thursday.
She added the decision was adopted after full coordination with the minister of supply and internal trade and aims at further monitoring imported products in light of precautionary measures, taken by the Egyptian government to curb the spread of COVID-19.
