Factory Obscura market and Oklahoma City artist Katelynn Noel Knick

Factory Obscura to host outdoor market

Factory Obscura is hosting an outdoor market filled with artist-made goods from more than a dozen artists.

The outdoor Factory Market will be from 4-8 p.m. on Nov. 28. It will coincide with Shop Small Saturday and Lights on Broadway, the kickoff of the holiday season in Automobile Alley. Live music on the sidewalk will be by Keathle. The outdoor events are free, and an indoor Mix-Tape immersive art experience is open for timed ticketing. The Mix-Tape gift shop also will be open for shopping, with limited capacity. Masks will be required.

OKC artist wins Arkansas contest

Oklahoma City artist Katelynn Noel Knick has won the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum’s 2020 Mural Contest.

Knick works within a diverse array of media — including painting, sculpture, and installations that convey unique approach and expression.

The museum describes her work as “joyful.”

“Playful shape and line, although not always creating an obvious subject, allows the viewer’s eye to dance alongside Katelynn’s particular vision,” the museum said in a news release. “Because of her unique expression and approach, RAM is happy to exhibit her mural as it reflects the unique beauty Arkansas has to offer through the eyes of the artist.”
