Interim Commodity Manager required in the automotive, manufacturing, engineering space.

We are working with a very exciting start-up business developing brilliant products within the tech, engineering, and manufacturing space. They have grown rapidly with major investment, and have developed a few distinct business units in line with their product offerings. Not only are they developing sustainable and environmentally technologies, they have also developed everything in-house, from manufacturing, research & development, to factory sites.
Your new role
As the Interim Commodity Manager, you will be leading the overall procurement process for a number of categories including direct components, battery modules, electronics, motors etc. You may also get involved in wider projects such as such as service & maintenance over the longer term. You will be responsible for the project procurement including supplier selection, negotiation and management from end to end. Whilst this role does not have any direct management responsibility you will be a strong communicator to help coordinate other members of the team.
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have an educational background within engineering or manufacturing of some kind, in order to truly engage with the suppliers and developers to obtain best possible products. You will have prior experience within purchasing, ideally within a manufacturing sector.

This role will be remote interviewing, onboarding, and remote working until informed otherwise. If you do end up going into the office they are based West London with chef and canteen on site! You are able to work via a PSC until April 2021, at which point it will be assessed according to government guidelines.
