Frank Burkert

French freight forwarder and groupage operator Heppner has appointed Frank Burkert (pictured above) sales director for Germany, following a recent period of expansion there.

Starting in January 2021, Mr Burkert will also have responsibility for the sales teams of Hamacher Logistik and AB Transport, which were recently acquired by Heppner to boost the group’s operations in Germany.

He said: “With the increase in the range of solutions implemented by the different teams in Germany in the areas of supply chain, distribution and value-added services, we will be able to support our customers much further, offering a qualitative multi-country service.”

A graduate of the Hult International Business School, Mr Burkert has almost 30 years’ experience in the transport and logistics industry, beginning his career as airfreight manager at Kuehne + Nagel in 1991, and later joining DB Schenker where he held a number of management posts.
