Cabri Hospital Roof Replacement In Procurement Phase

The Cabri Hospital will be seeing a new roof in the coming months.

The project, announced alongside roof repairs to the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, is one of 87 health care infrastructures seeing some improvements as part of a $200 million dollar economic stimulus spending on behalf of the provincial government.

Doug Steele, the MLA for Cypress Hills, says that the purpose of the projects is to stimulate the economies as they attempt to climb out of the COVID-19 doldrums, and as such hopes that local businesses come forward during the tendering process.

In total, the $200 million dollars is a fraction of the $7.5 billion that is being spent in total on the government’s two-year capital plan hoping to boost the economy out of the pandemic slow-down.

Cabri’s roof replacement is currently in the procurement phase with a tender to be released shortly, while the Cypress Hospital project will proceed to tender next month.
